Removed citation to human pancreas autopsy study with findings that metformin might help prevent beta cell apoptosis (cell suicide). Reading the full study made it clear that the researchers were not discussing the actual impact of metformin taken as a drug on humans, but instead describing a highly artificial situation created in cultured cells taken from dead pancreata and bathed in fat and a metformin solution.
